About

I know every white woman you’ve met has said this, but yoga really has changed my life both as a practicioner and a teacher. I have been privileged enough to teach yoga for the last 7 years, and it’s a privilege I continue to acknowledge.

Growing up as a dancer, I have always been fascinated with movement and the information it brings to the surface of our beings.

I received my 200 hour TT  through YogaWorks in Costa Mesa, and I recently completed my 300 hour from YoYoYogi in Portland, Oregon.

As a trauma informed patient and mental health advocate, I strive to elevate the yoga practice beyond the physical connection to the postures. I bring a raw and emotional dialogue to the forefront of my teaching. Furthermore, I push my students to get to the bottom of things. Connecting to our roots is the most fundamental way to lead an authentic life.

In my classes, I weave elements of yogic philosophy with psychology.  I explore the strength of asana through various movement modalities. You might hear a quote or a line from a poem that moved me, perhaps an Amy Schumer anecdote or simply something that you didn’t know you needed to hear. Dance parties are an absolute MUST with me, so be prepared to celebrate yourself at any given moment, even if (AND ESPECIALLY) it gets a little awkward.

My hope is that my vulnerability encourages you to dig deeper beyond the expression of the posture; I am far more concerned with the expression of the self. Above all, I am invested in the way you feel when you leave my class; a more courageous and honest version of yourself wherever you are and wherever you can meet yourself.
